I remember getting much higher rewards in the lower level areas on my level 80 character. Did they adjust the rewards and so when did this happen?

I think they limited it now to the level 55+ areas. (or that was the intention I’m not really sure since just today I got a level 77 rare off of one of the worms in the Charr area when i was testing my new build.) Weird.

You can still get leveled items, but apparently the base rewards are really bad for lower level areas.

At 80 in a level 1-15 zone I was getting 243 Karma and 1s20c for my efforts in DE’s, but now it’s kind of odd. Sometimes I get 155 karma, sometimes it’s 143, sometimes I get 72c and sometimes it’s lower.

But after 1 chain of 5 events (same event chain) it starts going down and by the end I can’t do any more events in that zone because all I get is exp, which seems to have been increased by a very large amount.

@Lil Puppy: That sounds like they’ve changed the Diminishing Returns code, or you’ve run afoul of the anti-bot mechanics.

There have been issues with drop rates lately, on the AMA Chris Whiteside said they thought it was a bug and were looking into it. So you could be seeing that.
