I know a lot of events have been fixed already, but there are still some out there that regularly become bugged and stuck.
So I was wondering about your experiences, are there ways to prevent an event from becoming stuck? Like (F) talk to the NPCs at a certain moment, or speedbuffing them or something? My question asked the other way around, have you ever got the feeling that you as a player did something that made an event stuck? Like accidentally pulling enemys close or something?
All bugged events that I know of don’t necessarily get stuck at the same point and also often don’t get stuck at all. So putting a list together what might cause it, could help us prevent them from becoming stuck in the first place and experience that content.

There are so many bugged events on my server currently in Cursed Shores. Melandru and Arah lines have been bugged for nearly two weeks now. No sign of the Ooze King and several other events as well. Grenth is still working I believe but pretty much everyone is relegated to Pen/Shelt/Jofast farming since almost nothing else is working. They need to fix the Arah event chest though if they expect anyone to actually do that line again (assuming a time when it actually works). High Orrian Wizard is certainly harder then Maw and Behemoth so there is no reason why his chest should be garbage.

Some events, but not all can be reset by luring lots of enemies to an NPC and getting them to wipe.

maybe there is something i can try doing if an event get’s stuck 99% of the time?

It could be any number of reasons depending on the event. For example, the Frozen Maw event could get stuck if Scholar Brogun just happened to die to condition damage in the one second between one event finishing and the second beginning. The Cattlepult event could get stuck if one of the cows was lured too far away by a harpy and then didn’t know how to get home. (Stupid cow…) In the early days, several skill challenge NPCs could also be made permanently dead by using a Launch skill to knock them out of their area where they died due to condition damage on them.

These causes have since been fixed, but they’re a good example of how events can break through extremely rare conditions that the testers couldn’t anticipate.

do you have any experiences with events that get stuck at a certain point most of the time (like 99% likeliness…)?
for example I would love to do this one event, but it always gets stuck. :/ one of the NPCs involved at the beginning of the escort just won’t start moving. and i’m thinking: maybe I could do -something- to prevent that from happening…

yes,seems anet does nothing else but makes events harder and dont even fix bugs…. i got nothing good to say to anet this days.
