Has anyone had issues with the events on Laughing Gull island? I’ve been waiting on and around the island for 2 hours, and the entire time the event simply states “The Lionguard are preparing to attack Laughing Gull Island and Taidha Covington.”

Lionscout Jenny is not on the island, nor are any other friendly NPCs, and there haven’t been any “Protect Bill and Hekja as they clear Risen from the area” events these whole two hours.

Is this event bugged on certain servers?

I think it’s bugged. We (guild) did this whole thing, killed the Hydra Queen and nobody got the achievement.

Same issue on Crystal Desert.

It is bugged indeed.

Well this sucks.. Been bugged then for like 6 months.

Does anyone even know where “Protect Bill and Hekja as they clear Risen from the area” begins? Is there perhaps a trigger event or a blocking event? I can’t even find where these NPC’s exist.

Immediately following last nights sever reset this event chain worked on Gandara, I now have the achievement.

We got it to work on Yak’s as well last night – achievement done.

I read on the wiki it won’t trigger unless the event with the two clearing the isle with the Champion Risen Captain is done. And nobody wants to do that one, so it is perpetually up when I poke my head in.

Done it few days back. We had to clear the island twice as these 2 npc’s did not leave the island after the first attempt but after second clearing they did and HQ event started. We’ve killed her and I got my achi with no issues.

I’ve been on the island for an hour. There are no NPC’s alive or dead on the island. It has been in the “Lionguard are preparing to attack” stage for an hour. Is there something I’m supposed to trigger?

Pushing this back to the top as the achievement is still bugged. Got gold for event completion, got both the acct-bound daily chest and the glorious chest, no achievement… Does anybody read and acknowledge this?
