I remember I fought this once a long time ago with a rifle, and recently I came across it again but with a mace this time, only it was impossible to hit. Standing at the base of it where it comes out of the ground = ‘miss’ constantly, standing where its head (targetable) nears the ground = ‘miss’ constantly.

Is that normal?

use a targeted movement skill (savage leap or rush if you’re warrior) and it will take you right to his hit box.

You can hit him with melee weapons.
But you cant hit him where he spawns though and its dangerous too to stand near his body when he spawns. Get a lot of ‘invisible’ damage(black mist).

If u use the trick that the top poster posted, that should help.

The targettable area is pretty much in between the middle portal (where everyone waits and stand) the boss itself.
The phase when he drops his head to the ground and screams is as close as i can describe the location to hit him. Even before he drops his head, that is the area i spam my melee attacks.

The place where he puts his head is where I expected it to work, but nothing was happening even when his face was right there. I don’t normally have movement skills for PVE but I guess in the future I can equip one if I really want to go after that thing, it just seemed weird because in most cases standing right next to the targetable part lets me hit it.

You can hit him with melee especially when he screams. His hit box is weird and huge as you may of noticed if you went ranged and you turned away from him to hit him. You can hit him when he is not screaming however you need to be really close, also gap closing skills are good.

First of all he is not imune to melee, but it is technical.

The hit box is where his target is when he screams, even when he is not screaming. I personal prefer switching to a ranged weapon when doing him.
