We are still having argument regarding this matter. I confirmed it myself, but others seem to disagree.
I am sure that you only get one normal chests (ex. big boss chest), and one bonus chest (with the guaranteed rare inside) per day, per account only. Doing it twice the same day before reset will result in nothing, no normal chest or bonus chest.
However, others have been saying that you can still get a normal chest, just no bonus chest.

Doing one of the events, such as the Shadow Behemoth, twice will result in only a normal chest the second time.

The dragon chest can be looted once a day per character per event.
The daily dragon chest (the one that pops up like the daily reward chest) can be looted once a day per account per event.

After Daily Reset:

My Guardian does Jormag -> gets ‘Bonus Daily Chest’ + Normal Boss Chest – Yay!
My Guardian does Jormag again for the fun of it -> Gets Nothing – Huh!

My Mesmer does Jormag -> Only gets Normal Boss Chest – Hmmm..
My Mesmer is stubborn and does Jormag again -> Gets Nothing – BooHoo!

My Ranger does Jormag -> Gets only Normal Boss Chest – Ahhh!
My Ranger learns lesson and AFK’s in L.A.

Note: Example is using Jormag Meta Event only.
