Q:

Just a short starter here but…

When an event is dynamic.. shouldn’t that mean its permanent or shouldn’t that mean the consequences last until say a server reset once a month or reset when WvWvW resets?

Also, I was looking forward to having event that are truly permanent. Something that would change the way a servers economy is effected. Like a crafting supply being permanently gone for a year on a yearly server reset or for a month with the reset mentioned above. I guess by permanent I mean a long lasting effect on a single server requiring the BLTC to be a main source of certain items or penalties for certain areas. Centaur spreading through the server truly, big city’s gone unless you get a server effort to gather all kinds of supplies to rebuild and kill the enemies inside… huge things like that. With the income they get from all the areas (gems) they should focus on these things to even the game play some and make it more fun and the events longer lasting.

.. just some input on my part.

Please give opinions on the kinds of events listed and elaborate on your own.

Divergent servers is a bad idea for any game dev.

Its even worse in a game where people can switch between servers.

It gives you a different game play from your friends. More excitement and more to talk about.

The server switching should be changed, thats how all the botters can easily sell their gold.

The impression I had before I started playing GW2 (I never played GW1) was that dynamic events did work this way. I still haven’t seen the whole world and was holding out hope that maybe this is the way some of them would work.

I vote that dynamic events should have “long-lasting” repercussions. Give the players something to fight for, make something at stake to lose (and gain) by these events.
