The abomination now has an enormous path. You have to go hunt him down to re-enable Plinx.

No one can ever be bothered to kill the abomination champ (so the event chain doesn’t restart).
Some servers don’t even bother to start Explorer Plinx. It seems people have forgot about Plinx for other meta events and living story content.
Plinx is just sitting in his cozy spot on over 50% of the servers.
