What is the incentive to do this now?

With the numbers of people who do this event on the server I am on it always fails leaving the player with scant reward.

I gave it a few goes even in periods of high populace and the turnout is bad, I really did try to enjoy this event as a perm addition to the living story but there is zero incentive to do this at all in the future considering the abysmal reward at the end for the time investment in comparison to many other things that can be partcipated in that are much more interesting and rewarding.

The text that alerts for a pending invasion now doubles as a dont bother with that area unless you like to waste 40 minutes, it’s sad.

If you really want to do one, guest to a busy server I guess. Although you likely won’t complete it, even with a full map of players, it’s a pure Aetherblade farm. I’m not complaining though, it popped in Frostgorge this morning and we farmed 60 champion boxes during P2 and failed. You are likely to see a lot more people show up when it’s in Frostgorge or Fireheart btw, since all the boxes will be exotic. The lower level zone ones are usually ignored.

I do believe that the end reward are not in line with the champion loot. but we honestly don’t need yet another thread bout this. I’ve given my opinion bout an easy fix ages ago and repeated it several times now.

Arise, ye farmers of all nations
Arise, opressed of Tyria!

From what I have seen (on my server, at times I play), hardly anyone cares about the Invasions any more. I can access an area 30 minutes after is started and not get punted to an Invasion-free overflow. If I happened to already be in the zone and it started on top of me, progress is slow or even non-existent. I cannot understand why they bothered keeping it in the game; it just interferes with regular play.
