This will sound crazy, but I liked the old Risen Priest of Melandru better.

I’ll readily admit it needed some tuning, but the old event with the animal transforms and having to kill the acolytes was actually fun. It’s turned into an event where a zerg takes him down in 2 minutes by spamming ‘1’, which isn’t fun at all.

Is there any chance we could bring back the old behavior, but maybe tone down the scaling for the acolytes? As it is, this event is by far the easiest temple.

The Acolytes spawned as recently as last Wednesday. Before that, sometimes they did and sometimes they didn’t. The only variable that accounts for the times I’ve seen/not seen them was number of players. Every time there has been a lot of players there, no Acolytes, whereas with a smaller number of players, they did.

It’s a bug. After a server reset, Priest of Melandru is able to transform players for certain number of events.

However, I did see him transforming players for 1 second before everyone reverted on the first event after a server reset. We had a whole skritt of people doing Temple of Melandru at that time.

No, that heal/transform phase wasn’t fun. It just prolongs the fight, and makes it so small groups cannot kill the priest at all if it decides to keep going through that heal phase.

Easiest temple? Probably due to the awful scaling on the other temples now. Then again, considering the Melandru statues are the worst to deal with, that’s a good thing if it’s apparently so easy.

It was kinda unique and adds to the fight. Now, he’s more like Orrian version of Champion Troll and less a boss fight that relaxes everybody from horrible statues

It needs lots of tuning though. The transformed’s damage, the rate of healing, stuff like that

They could introduce more variety in the transformation though.

The heal phase is still very much active and in the game currently.

I’m not one hundred percent sure on what triggers it, but I’ve heard that apparently you will get the heal phase if the last attempt to cleanse the temple failed (or possibly the legendary fight).

I went through the heal phase bit as recently as two nights ago.
