So with the recent influx of players “zerging” in queensdale for the champions there has been a hugely negative side-effect for those of us who wish to play solo, or spontaneously. The community has become rude, intolerant and verbally abusive on a daily basis.

I come to queensdale for maybe half an hour to 45 minutes a day to play around, kill a few champs, and do some gathering in between. I have been doing this for months now, and I ALWAYS call it out in map chat when a champion event is up and ready to go as I start it (up until recently I have been thanked for this). There are only a few champs I actually enjoy fighting in this area, the troll and the oak being my personal favorites (so I mostly only like to fight them.)

I have never had a problem with people before, but now suddenly if I do one of these events “out of order” I am slammed with insults and negativity, saying I should leave because they wanted to wait to do that champ until they finished two others or something. So how is that fair to me? I don’t like being in zergs, I don’t like going in an “order”, I just want to have fun and play my own way (it’s not like I don’t tell them the champ is up). I always respond to people with a very neutral tone, and I do my best to stay positive with them even though they’re usually calling me “stupid” and “loser noob” or other things I cannot mention in this forum.

All I’m saying is, it’s fine if people want to zerg in queensdale, but why do they have to be so mean to the people who don’t want to play by someone else’s made up rules? I think anet should be aware that this is happening because it was a major selling point that we could all play the way we want to, but this constant verbal abuse is making that unpleasant. I can’t be expected to /report 6 or 7 people every time I go to queensdale.

Note: Please let’s keep this thread civil and not resort to personal attacks and name calling, as I know this may be a hot issue with some people.

Right click/report…no good reason for you to take harassment for playing the game.

Can’t you just go to another zone? They’re only doing this in 2 zones right now and the champs in other starter zones are just as easy to solo

Why should he go to another zone ? That’s not a reason to be aggressive if he does what he wants.
A lot of zerg are aggressive and insult everyone. 2 days ago, some ppl killed Quaggan while zerg were farming champ AB. The zerg insulted them because they broke the “chain”….

Just ignore them.

You don’t have to do what the others say.

Kill what you want and be on your way.

Turn off map chat, do what you want. If they whisper you with insults then report, block and go on your way.

Yeah just ignore them as mentioned and do what you want in game. If they have an issue with it they can take it up with the Devs to remove the option of completing the event. You are playing the game as intended.

Just respond with “Stay mad ” or “idc bro” or block them. Also, "why people are so mean?

Online interactions are not rated, this happens to all online games. If you cannot handle it then turn on the filters, disable or ignore map chat, block them. The solution is in you. Anet is not going to adjust a system to cater to cry babies. Man up!

try guesting on a low population server, might not be spoiling the fun of more people then

What world are you playing at ?
I will avoid guesting that world when I feel like to do some champion train.
Or maybe you can just tell others you will kill troll and oak no mater what they ask you.
Then the champion trainers can leave, guest in other world.
I always guest another world when I found that someone don’t kill in order.
