Despite the, supposed, increase in rewards for besting Scarlet and her henchmen, farmers still have full reign of the event and I’ve yet to see or hear it completed.
What is the complete reward for driving off Scarlet’s invasion?

The is a good question…. has anyone actually completed since it became a random world event?

I try to participate in those events whenever I can and didn’t see it finished after event ended.
True, people farm it but I also believe there was a slight change in sub-events order and it makes nearly impossible to finish it now.

What I mean before you could fight Molten Alliance AND Second Wave at the same time, now it is like First Wave → Molten → Second Wave → Aethers → Final Wave – Scarlet. Much harder to finish since people rather farm Aethers for guaranteed, good loot then chase the rabbit.

On SFR we managed to pop Scarlet once but with less than 1 min of event left to do.

Once I got to Scarlet with ~15 seconds left on timer. Event failed but Scarlet stayed and we were able to kill her.
I got scarlet box which had yellows inside and some other yellows from chest. Nothing too exciting.

bet you anything if anet annouced she had a high chance of dropping exotics she be downed every time.

The event has to succeed to get the greater rewards. Scarlet dead while event failed won’t work.

This event has a huge problem.

Anet doesn’t give you enough time to get past Wave 1 unless you have a lot of people however when the chain starts at 3am in the morning you are guaranteed to have an almost empty zone.

The number of mobs you need to kill needs to scale with the number of people present who are able to kill them. If there are only 4 people doing the event maybe we should only have to kill 40 each. I think that’s very reasonable. But in 40 minutes we only killed enough mobs to bring the bar down by 1/3 even though we were working on emptying out the Scarlet spawns as fast as we could. Quite simply this event is unreasonable.

tbh, it’s not worth it. I heard the rumours that they upped the rewards to 15 bags but we completed it on desolation last week and we got 2 rares from scarlet and then 5 bags, we lost out on about 25-35 bags on aetherfarm this way though.

You calling it “Aetherfarm” just shows exactly what is one of the problems with invasions. Farm farm farm farm farm. What is wrong with wining things once in a while instead of farming and more farming? The Frostgorge champ farm (and Queensdale and Cursed Shore) is 24/7, Invasions are not. And if you were there for most or all of the invasion you should have still walked out with a ton of loot.

My main problem with invasions right now is that those champ bags actually have chance of dropping something good. After each invasion I get at least 40-50 bags and except few cores/lodes here and there I got nothing of real value.

From what you type, it seems like they debuffed the reward, which, according to one ArenaNet employee, is not the case. I would conclude you were either not there for the entire invasion, or you’re sowing misinformation.

I asked several ArenaNet players, in-game, only one of them was capable of “answering” my question and from what I could glean, it seems farming the event, rather than completing it, is more profitable. What I found annoying is that I couldn’t get a straight answer, I don’t understand what they could be protecting.

I’m still looking for an employee or screenshot answer, so the question still stands.
