So, I was around Orr because I recently hit 80 on my first character, and I read that you can get Dragonite ore from meta events here. I was there for 3 hours and did not see ONE SINGLE PERSON. All the mete events were ready to go and every wp was contested. I tired to go around to find people and see if there was something I could solo.

nope, nothing.

So I gave up on that area. I looked online to see where I could get the ore. Southsun cove, the Karka Queen. No one was there either.
I play in Darkhaven sever and the thing is I never see anyone out in the world. I have basically soloed the game besides dungeons. The only time I do see people is when I am in Lion’s arch or in wvw with the zerg. Is the sever dead? It said it had a high population so I picked it. The thing is I don’t want to move severs either. I got my brother to play with me and made a friend I don’t want to leave. So what is going on here??

There are plenty of easier option if you are just after Dragonite Ore. All the … well most of the world bosses with a daily bonus chest also give Dragonite Ore on a per character basis.

Temple of Dwayna and Melandru are also much easier. Melandru can probably be solo’ed assuming it isn’t the first time the event is occuring after a reset but that is due to a bug. Lyssa is also doable with a relatively small group. Grenth seems doable with a similar size group as Lyssa.

Balthazar involves idiotic NPCs and spamming heals so not really done as much.

Southsun is pretty chancy. If you go there daily to gather resources then you might see a guild going for the Karka sometime if you’re lucky. The orrian temples will depend upon how active your server is. On Gandara you can go malchor’s/cursed shore when the temples are contested you’ll probably see a temple event running or the pre-quest. If nobody is around you can start the pre-quest on your own and call for more people when it gets going.

Otherwise, join a guild and ask them about events. You could also guest to another server for a day to see if the problem is entirely due to your server.

I know there are guilds that often do Southsun events on smaller servers, often after guild missions or such.

Karka queen is spawned pretty much once a day on Tarnished Coast, usually a couple times daily. It doesn’t hurt to have ears in a multi realm guild!

The amusing thing is – it doesn’t even require a full group to spawn the queen. I’ve done all four camps with two people. It’s always just a matter of time invested versus potential gain.
