So are there any quick ways to take down Taidha’s Gate? It takes about 5 minutes to destroy it because each players can only inflict around 1 to 3 damage on it (depending on Might stacks).

Or do we have to bring a whole zerg from WvW to take down the gate faster? But if we do that, Taidha Covington wouldn’t last very long. The events make it that the gate has more toughness and lasts longer than Taidha Covington.

Never bothered attacking the gate except that one time when I was curious. From the context of the event it seems fairly obvious you are just supposed to let the galleon do that part and make sure it doesn’t get destroyed. A 5 minute wait isn’t much different from the fire elemental except it is explicit there.

arent you supposed to place bombs on it or something? I haven’t done it in awhile, but your not supposed to use your autoattacks to take it down.

There are bombs? Last time I did it, (after waiting for a very long time to finally get this event to start) we just rushed the gate with a zerg of people, and whacked at it for a long time till it broke down. I had no idea there was another way to break the gate. The hints seemed to indicate that we were expected to attack the gate as well.

If this is the event right before fighting Taidha, you are supposed to kill the pirates at the cannons on the beach while the lionguard ship uses its cannons to fire at the door. It fires shots every 5-10 seconds. The pirates on the beach are firing cannons at the lionguard ship so it is a race of which one kills the other first.

That bit is a bit buggy … you should also destroy the cannons. I would have to double check but I am pretty sure the cannons can just fire on their own without a living pirate next to it.
