So I’m sure this has happened to people before, but on occasion I am rewarded for DEs that I actively did not participate in.

It usually goes like this: I’m walking along, looking for the next gathering node/waypoint/vista/jump puzzle entrance what have you, and there will be an event near by, not so near by that I can walk to it in a short amount of time, but it’s out of my way and I don’t feel like going out of my way to participate. So as I march along, the DE long since absent from my map, I will eventually get the “Mission: Success!” pop up on my screen, awarding me a silver and the appropriate reward. On more inane occasions, I’ve been given gold rewards for DEs that I not only did not participate in, but was also entirely unaware was occurring. Is this gonna be fixed?

I typically report them when it happens as bugs:

I include the event name, the timing of the event (if I had run past it and still received credit vs not even being aware that there had been an event nearby) and my location during the past X minutes (ie for events that I’d previously participated and knew that they only last less than 10 minutes I"ll only state what I’d been doing immediately prior, for ones that take far longer I’ll give activity up to an hour or two previous) just in case any of it is useful to the Devs to fix it

Sadly this is why there are so many afk’ers / bots on events zone, the worst part is that even when they die people revive them thinking they are a regular players. I haven’t report them but only becasue I feel wary that I might be doing it to someone that really is taking a phone call, etc and no I can’t just stay there to confirm it (only did it once 30 min, 3 events not once did he/she moved) because im playing not policing the game.

mostly that happened me when i was mining or so 1 of the event’s mob’s attacked me and i accidentally last hit it, giving me bronze, also on escort missions you obly need to be close to get bronze, in those indeed tens to happen ore often

I think there should be an “accept” revive when people are dead. So people won’t unknowingly rez afk people or botters. Or people that had to take an emergency afk – not realizing the outpost was a war zone and then come back completely naked with a huge repair bill! That happened to my husband when he had to leave quick when he was ill..

Oh and more on topic I have noticed that escort quests if you’re even in the area and happen to kill a mob near it you will run off and get a gold later for doing really nothing that you were aware of.
