The debacle that is Teq
Why not try to organise it then??
Tequatl, Balthasar, Karka queen are examples off bosses that needs organisation.
something thats working pretty well on my server.
Some people have been guesting to a server where organised runs are being held to see how it is done. After that they started making a guild. Only requirements:
1: represent during tequatl fights
2: join atleast once every few attempts
They do several things for their members and others showing up.
a: they have ranks in the guild based on the roles people play during the fight. This way you have people on the turrets and in the turret defense team that know what they are doing.
b: they have commandors in the two dps zergs who are helping people in the zerg in explaining what to do, how to stack up etc.
c: They provide spoken instructions in mapchat and on a public TS-server
d: They advertise professional attempts in mapchat and in lions arch
And they are doing it and doing it succesfully.

As with large raids in those other games, the number of players who want to organize something on this scale is small.

Other games? What other games. Large guilds can organize Teq raids pretty efficiently..

Before LFR, raiders were typically characterized as a small portion of the overall population. Of that group, how many were doing the work of organizing?
How many of the GW2 player base are participating in the Teq event?
On how many servers do Teq raids not take place?
If Teq takes 80-200 people, how many of those players are doing the organizing?
The post was a comment that the number of times the event goes uncompleted are a symptom of disinclination on the part of many to do the often thankless work of organizing. It was not a dig at those who do.
the effort it takes to take down teq doesnt stand in relation to what you get. people just don’t care anymore after beating it once.
Part of taking down Teq, is you basically need a zerg camping the event during the 1-hour spawn window.
No zerg, no win, and an hour is a long time standing around waiting for nothing to happen.
A simple 5-minute warmup event “Oh dear, we have inbound, warm up the cannon and everyone get ready!” gives people notice that it’s about to start. They have time to show up and get organized, no need to camp the event anymore.

I’ve recently found this guild: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/recruitment/TTS-Tequatl-Terror-Squad-STILL-KILLING-TEQ/first
perhaps you can try it too?
