Guild Wars 2

Okay. So I’ve had a few occasions where I am unable to target an enemy but it seems to have only occurred on Champion enemies. The first occurrence was against the SB Champ. I was in the area and was unable to left or right click the enemy to target it for an attack. The same thing happened again with another Champ I believe it was the Champ wasp. Not the one by the Boar but it was a different one inside of a cave. I was able to target it by clicking “1” to auto attack but my initial attempt to target by just clicking the enemy would not work. I was able to meet the SB again today and the same thing happened. I switched to a ranged weapon and tried clicking and auto attacking and i could never target the enemy. Is there some sort of trick or is this a bug? Kind of getting frustrated not being able to get drops from SB.

I’ve had it happen a couple of times but I’ve always thought it was because of lag. Next time it happens, maybe check your fps.

Is it only against champions?

The targetting bug is very well known otherwise, but it happen with all targettable mobs/items in the game (until you restart the client). You can alttab through targets and target them with auto-attack, but you cant actually click anything to select a target. It got nothing to do with champs.

I recently tried to target the centaur boss in the pavilion, but with that giant zerg around him he was impossible to select. Directly clicking on him only selected players. Target closest, only targeted some of the other centaurs or those annoying Summoned Greatswords from the neighboring area. Tab cycled through every single enemy, except the boss that was right next to me. I finally succeeded at selecting him by repeatedly clicking him, but it was more a stroke of luck if anything.

Lag should not be a factor here. I think there’s just too much going on for the game to target well.
