NSP opens it daily, and its open now on Northern Shiverpeaks again Get your shards if you need them.
When it is nighttime for some people you open it? That’s kind of lame..any other server usually opens it but at daylight for CET?
I won’t go into the details because of past experiences, but the Temple of Balthazar is apart of something bigger that we have doing since last November. It is a set time that has been established on our server, which is based on daily reset and when most people on our server is active and available to do it.

There might be later tonight around 4-7 pm (PST …or 2-4 hours from this posting) … don’t get your hopes up though, it all depends on how many people in the Zerg STOP screwing around with nuking the harmless regular minions that spawn, and instead change their build to CC’ing rotation to chain stun the 2 Vets…
It basically takes a guild on TeamSpeak together to see that level of coordination in every attempt of it.
It’s easy after you wipe couple times and most of players rage quit. Then you just need to remember when hard mobs spawn and cc them before they can do anything.

That site seems pretty good. When a server has balthazar open, the server name will appear along with a small flag representing what region it’s for. It doesn’t say when the server opened, but I’ll usually keep it running alongside GW2 and refresh just before guesting. I’ve had a server close just as I was running toward the NPC because of this, but that at least showed me there wasn’t really a lag issue with the site because I refreshed after that happened and within seconds it showed the server had closed.
Edit: And I just noticed this site’s been talked about in this forum before. Sorry. It is worth looking at though.
Been trying to get these obsidian shards for 5 days now. All balthazars closed in EU whenever I log in. Saw open twiced in US side but if I wanted to go I have to pay 1000 gems for transfer.
My server doesn’t have ppl to open it because everybody’s farming champs or whatnots. Is it possible maybe to put shards behind other karma merchant so that I don’t have to buy them with laurels or fractal pieces.

Im in the same boat , this is the worst thing I encountered in the game so far and it’s making it impossible for me to get my legendary. This thread needs to be moved on general or somewhere to get the proper attention and fix this. It’s not worth playing like this.

I’ve mentioned this before on this thread, but its worth mentioning again for those who really need the temple open.
On the Northern Shiverpeaks (US server), we open the Temple Of Balthazar everyday as apart of our daily temple zerg. The temple is normally open around 10PM-12 AM EST (7PM-9PM PST). We rarely fail to open it daily, so if your looking for a server to guest on to get your shards come to NSP.
BTW we didn’t open the temple today, so we could do the new content, but tomorrow we should have it open again for you guys.
