Still open as of 10:52 am CST on Sea of Sorrows. Transferred there to get the remainder of my shards. Thanks to Aryea for the heads up. Hoping to be able to transfer back to my home server again soon. =(

Not sure when it changed exactly, but it is now 1:40pm EST, and it is again contested.

Need the last shards, and event is bugged again:(, so really need a server where it is uncontested.

After transferring yesterday morning, prior to the update, I was given the standard 24 hour waiting period. Yet this morning, after the update, my wait time was increased to 7 days. I would never have transferred had I known this.

Direct quote from the News and Announcements thread: “After the update, players will be able to transfer worlds once every 7 days instead of once every 24 hours.”

For those of us that transferred yesterday to circumvent this horrible system to obtain Obsidian Shards, we’re all stuck on foreign servers for a week. From my submitted ticket: “I’m afraid though that we don’t have any way to actually by-pass the cooldown period on transfers. This does appear to have affected all transfers retro-actively so you would actually need to remain on your current realm until the cooldown is up.”

It’s a shame this whole issue wasn’t addressed a long time ago.

It happened to me, but funny thing was, i transfferd, had the 24 hours cooldown gone, and i was actually free to transfer , but i didnt, cause i still needed some more karma so i thought id just stay and use my transfer next time, but on the first of Nov, the cool down was up again, though it wasnt for 7 days, it was on 5 days cooldown. Its kinda stupid xD I had the cooldown gone and its back up. Oh wellll

Im locked for 4 more days on elona reach, constantly trying too make the event, will post if uncontested, cheer upp ! lets hope anet finishes with doing whatever theyre doing and takes a look as us who makes legendaries -_-

Bump. Anyone? Literally just need one quick visit to an uncontested/unbugged temple to finish my legendary.

The 7 day waiting for a transfer is understandable…

But what i don’t understand is why it’s only bugged on some servers. It’s bugged on Ruins of Surmia for the last 3 days already…NPCs just sitting there. Why does it work on other servers?
