With our recent update we fixed most of the issues with events in Straits of Devastation that prevented players from successfully taking the Temple of Balthazar. There is one outstanding issue we will address in a future – as it might look to players as being broken while it is not, I would like to explain what is happening:

• The bug occurs in the final event of the 3 meta events;
Escort the northern invasion Pact squad to the Pact rally point at Triumph Plaza.
Escort the central invasion Pact squad to the Pact rally point at Triumph Plaza.
Escort the southern invasion Pact squad to the Pact rally point at Triumph Plaza.
• When the bug occurs all of the NPCs in the Pact squad will bunch up on top of each other.
• The bug will correct itself once the NPCs engage a hostile creature that gets too close.

As you are all know, spawns in Orr are rather fast, so as long as you let the NPCs aggro a nearby creature, the event will continue.

This is great but why werent these details included in the Dec 3rd patch notes? (Assuming thats when the fix was implemented)

Also, can you list specifically what bugs “most” refers to?

Just a refresher to those who attempt, remind your friends to waypoint and run back up from rally wp. I know its common sense, but you fail mainly because of the kpretty kitty’s who just sit there thinking somebody will have enough time to res ya (and lack of focus on the boss versus trash mobs). Downed = okay, dead = waypoint and run, its really a close waypoint anyways.

earlier this week I attempted this event multiple times and each time got less than 7 people to participate.

Needless to say the pact morale did not last long.

Any temple of balthazar open in EU servers today?

Trying for 2 weeks to get to Balthazar Temple in Sea of Sorrows. Nobody wanna group up in either LA or Strait of Devastation. This is excessively frustrating, considering that this is the only place to get those kitten shards with Karma instead of a million grinds of Fractal. I’m in a WvW guild, so there is no way I’m going to server hop to another NA or EU server just for shards.

Any guild/body here in SoS is looking to group up to do Balthazar?
