Unseen Hunter event is really annoying
projectile reflects would seem to be the way to go.
Just defeated the Unseen Hunter. He dop a Shell Pouch with a exotic Bonetti’s Rapier for me.
For some reason he was very easy to kill on land. Just me and one other solo player. I’m not sure why the champion died so quickly.
This mob definitely isn’t a “Champion” despite its actual label. It isn’t even a Group Event to kill it iirc, I’ve soloed it a number of times on leveling characters with minimal difficulty, but it looks like it still retains the Champion status which warrants an exotic bag.
Yeah, that particular event isn’t a Group Event (likely because you have the three Wardens there to help you out). He does count as a Champion kill, however, and depending on your build, he’s actually quite soloable. (I’ve solo’ed him on my Mesmer, Ranger, Ele, Warrior and Necromancer.) The Champion malfunctioning golem not too far away is a lot tougher, in my opinion.
Despite his champion rank when you target him, the Unseen Hunter’s defense is utter garbage, meaning a character that doesn’t rely on condition damage can still hurt him quite a bit. (I’ve seen my characters hitting around 1000 damage per hit on him sometimes.)
A good way to protect the remaining three Wyld Hunt is to watch for the Unseen Hunter approaching from the east when he proclaims “No escape”. If you engage him quick enough, you can keep him from the Wyld Hunt members and prevent the chance of him killing them.
Of course, you must be wary, since he hits pretty hard and has a twirling shadowstep, but has no range attacks, so ranged kiting works here. The only really annoying thing is his utter immunity to conditions. He’s the only boss I’ve seen that has this, but it once again just makes conditions seem kind of pointless.
