Why Dynamic events are dead?

Hi Arenanet and community!

A few notes before I make my point:
- I am from JQ server (high pop)
- I play GW2 since day 1 and i’ve done kitten load of dynamic events, way more than you can imagine

My point:
Dynamic events pretty much dead everywhere from what I can see. Cursed shore dead, Karka dead, other high level zones dead – people not sticking around. 90% population just teleports around for 1hr a day during NA prime time using gw2stuff.com to tag world bosses and that’s it. Other than that noone plays anymore – this makes me very sad cause i like GW2 open world very much.

Maybe everyone’s too busy farming projectors in queensdale?
or flipping dragon wings off TP?
or exploiting dragon ball?

Appreciate any advice on where I can actually play game (please don’t offer flipping TP and botting CoF1)

I think many people does the Living Story for achievements and items, etc.
- Forcing new content out every month (or less) people are bound to focus on some particular zones instead of spreading out.

I’ve done a lot of Dynamic Events myself, but most zones are just dead. It’s a lonely game for me to play.
- I had imagined the Living World would make some long term goals and give us these events that might play out over a couple of months or something and then for some time, things would go back to normal, we’d be out in Tyria again populating the zones.
- Sadly, this is not how they’re going with it, and I find the Living Story content to be “quantity over quality” content all in all.

Hopefully, the game changes with time so that this issue might be solved.

They are dead because they do not give rewards for time taken, some dynamic event chains take upwards of 30 mins+ the mobs spawned in these events have had all there loot removed, espically in ORR, the end reward for your time is like 1 silver and 2 or 3 blue weapons which you will either salvage or instantly sell for 2 silver ( for all of them )

Take dragons Jormag and Teq, I did both dragons everyday for the last week, Teq’s main chest gave me blues everyday, ( the daily chest always a rare ) Jormag, takes about 30 mins to fight depending on time of day, again chest dropped only blues and greens, 1 day I did a rare from it, and a rare from the daily chest ) they are no longer worth my time doing them.

Its all over these forums that the time invested doesn’t not rewarded, this is from PvE including dungeons and FotM.

Sadly, if you want any loot or gold just create a zerker warrior and go farm COF path 1 1000 times, its the only area of the game that hasn’t been nerfed in months, yet yields the fastest rewards, cant beat 1 gold every 8 mins now can you………….

CoF is boring to me, I prefer WvW but you don’t get any loot there either.

that basically, why do DEs if you get nothing for them? expecially in Orr, new event scaling + increased event respawn timer + reduced loot = just farm CoF for money.
