Hello
It seems to be a design flaw to scale 80’s down to the zone’s intended level, but have the rewards of events there not scale up in EXP, Coin, Karma, and equipment-drops – especially when you’re a scaled-down 80 fighting a Veteran that’s 2 levels -above- you.

Excellent point, especially because in such cases the costs of fast travel to the zone alone eats several events worth of coin. To be fair I get the decrease in XP it is obviously to give incentive for players to move to harder areas and not camp the easy events in Queensdale or what not, but currency rewards should scale more. Especially notable when trying to get world completion for 1-15 zones for other races at the 70-80 range.

I’m fine with quest rewards being less (normal) in the lower level areas… as long as the cost of Death and Armor Repairs (and Teleports) also scaled down the same way. If I am level 5 (really 50) and die with my level 5 (really 5) friend doing a quest that is going to give a 17 Copper reward… I should not need to pay 2 Silver to revive and repair my armor while my level 5 friend pays 15 Copper.

Yes, at the moment you can take the 15 Jute, Copper, and other crafting ingredients you got doing the quest and sell them for the cost of the repair/teleport…

As far as teleports. I’m fine with it costing 2 Silver to teleport from a level 65 area to and from Lion’s Arch (current cost for me, maybe that is a bit high but a quest gives 2 silver so it seems in the right ballpark). But if I’m running around a level 5 area helping someone and then want to teleport half a zone back to Lion’s Arch, why is it 15 Copper for him and 1.5 Silver for me?

I’m not sure what the solution is here that couldn’t be exploited, but taking into account the levels of the areas you are crossing makes more sense than just looking at my level. And I think it is silly it cost me 50 Copper to teleport to the closest waypoint in any zone ever (well, maybe reasonable if dead, but they are going to be zinging me more than that to repair my armor anyway, so why charge me twice?)

well if your in a level 5 zone such as Queensldale why not just go into Divinities Reach then teleport to LA from there and save some cash .

As for the XP scaling if they did that then High level characters would just spend all their time in low level zones killing the easy stuff . After all why should I fight hard stuff when i could stomp everything i see in a low level zone .
