I think fighting the big world bosses and getting a chest with shiny loot is one of the most fun things to do in Guild Wars 2. That’s why I want to spend an evening with a group and port from event to event without doing anything else. So if you know any cool ones, please tell me!

The order of bosses is not of importance as we can just port around to which ever is up next. But it would be cool to include a level (and the nearest waypoint) to your suggestion!

Level 10

  • Svanir Shaman – Vendrake’s Homestead Waypoint, Wayfarer Foothills; Level 11
  • Shadow Behemoth – Phinney Waypoint, Queensdale; Level 12
  • Giant Jungle Wurm – Wychmire Swamp, Caledon Forest; Level 15
  • Fire Elemental – Survivor’s Encampment Waypoint, Metrica Province; Level 16

Level 20

Level 50

  • The Shatterer – Lowland Burns Waypoint, Blazeridge Steppes; Level 50

Level 60

  • Tequatl – Splintered Coast Waypoint, Sparkfly Den; Level 65
  • Mega Destroyer – Maelstrom’s Bile, Mount Maelstrom; Level 68

If you want to contribute, please write down the name of the nearest waypoint, the level you are scaled down to, the name of the boss and the area everything is in.

If you have been there and forgotten those informations, check it ingame the next time you are playing and tab out.

I will keep updating the first post with your findings. Thanks to everyone hunting !

Dragon bosses are on a fixed respawn timer and are getting farmed. This needs to stop. We aren’t in azeroth. Randomize spawns buff dragons.

Including spawn times sounds like a good idea. Although doing every boss once in an evening would be enough for me :P

@ nerva: Why is it a bad thing to let people who want to farm them repeatedly do so? It doesn’t hurt other players who prefer doing them when they stumble upon them.

Bosses are way too weak…. I want a challenge! Buff them up, a lot of them just stand around taking damage while doing nothing (just shouting) for a lot of time.

It would be a bad move to buff them right now. The lag during these fights is atrocious and makes dodging and timing attacks very difficult.

They should fix this as best they can, then work on making the dragons move-set a bit more unique. (Again, pleaseeee do not just scale damage/# of enemies).

Make the encounters more complex. Complexity is key! Yes, i realize simplicity is also key….but don’t get confused. I realize a lot of game designers get focused on little details that eventually lead to a streamlined game thats boring and bad (D3). I don’t feel like the a.net designers do this.

The systems in place are already simple (yet deep). Overlaying a complex encounter where a player can sit and kill an individual monster the whole fight works. Its a simple as you want it to be, and becomes deep/complex when you finally do understand how to succeed.

Pro tip: you should probably update your OP with the new information so people don’t constant scroll through to see if anything is added.

I do but only complete information. If you refer to the Claw of Jormag it would be great if you added the Waypoint after the next time you have played. I am not 80 yet so I can’t just check it out.

Are these bosses set to spawn at regular times? IE: 8pm EST every night. I too have farmed some of the lower area bosses, they don’t spawn based on time, they seem to spawn with the right conditions in place (enough of a local population), and then most require a chain of events prior to it taking place. Shaman for instance is the end of a chain, seems to happen once an hour, but not set to any exact time loop. I have never seen the chain start when standing by the start area alone…

Seems like the best way to approach this would be to form a large group, then have some call out each stop to the group, go to the location, trigger the event, rinse/repeat.
