Your Feed back on Cursed Shore Event?
End game is a big zombie fest. Zombies have been overdone in other games and were generally a gimmick while GW2 made them a key part of the world story. Yes people like killing zombies, but you have 3 zones of mostly zombies, no variety (evident when you try to do dailies).
Now add to this that when you get to Cursed Shore for your story, at the last storyline task, you HAVE TO team up with other players to finish your story. The issue now is that the recent Plinx nerf has pushed alot of people away from Cursed Shore, so much so that in the Karma corrodoor tonight I saw no more than 5 people, and up near Plinx I saw only 3 people. Someone was trying to organize a temple event but only 4 or 5 people turned up.
End game is not fun when you can’t succeed all because there was not enough people.
these guys have poor opinions dont listen to this junk.
add some official coverage or videos of the dynamic events that people can see after they happened incase they missed it like me and dont EVER bring the lost shores back. thats part of what makes it so memorable is that you were only part of it once. im not even upset about missing it and i look forward to seeing more one time dynamic events
Got a email from Anet asking me to give them some feed back on the cursed shore event. And the Link didn’t work so I through Id put up my thoughts on it here.
Anyways, I throught it was really really bad. I enjoyed the Halloween event soo much more. Nothing was over powered to the point of death after death. I found on my warrior in the new zone of cursed shore. Nothing like the the spirit of giant crabs that smash your face in. So I tried some events, thinking maybe this isn’t bad. I’m just doing it wrong?
Did the avoid the underground worms and get metal gears for some asuran dude. One shot event time, couldnt help anyone else in down state, unless I wants more of a repair bill. In the end I was fed up with the whole zone, got abused by otheir players since. Apparently you need to spent 15 gold to buy a set of toughness gear to even do the zone?
Stupid me, I through you could be in any gear to do anything since gear isn’t meant to mean allot. Apparently from the look, oops silly me shouldn’t have listened to all those youtube videos from Anet. About that topic….
From that Zone I didnt even bother trying to do the dungeons. So I spent my time doing the dragon in frostgorge sound. Nothing like a good old dragon fight. Before logging of disappointed in this amazing one time event.
I really loved this game in Beta weekend one. Best Mmo I have ever played. but after that you seemed to have changed too much. Its just another MMo nothing really great or new, just a better spin on Rift. Thats all my throughs I loved my thief but that sucks hard core for Pve.
But thats just my through’s on this event. But I’m sure going to get flamed for even speaking out.
The positive this about this game, I love charr, the first start zones are fun but it losses it edge by the end. Kinda feels like someone got sick to death of trying to come up with something new. Its just a rinse repeat. Im not event going to touch Wvw and Pvp with a 10 foot pole. Umm yea Hated Cured shore. But um I think, Im getting to old for Mmos and the effort you need to just get any where. Puzzle they are only made for small characters. Another bummer.

You realise that they asked feedback about the Lost Shores event? Cursed shore is an Orr region. I do however agree with a lot of what you’re saying.
i have nothing wrong with the event that took place, only that One-time events are kinda stupid, I didn’t have the time to make it to the event, and i really wanted to be there but as a family issue calls, i have to put the keyboard down.
as that Sunday Night, i was on the overflow server and the event was taking place, i was thinking this was a chance so we could make up for not being able to and half way through the event, 3 minutes for new server build…….. honestly, i was liking the idea of doing it again at a specified time but as others said it would be bad considering the players who did it alreay and got the reward, why cant it be Character locked so you wont be able to do the event a 2nd time>>?
why couldnt they have thought about it this in the first place.?

I happened to miss out on the final event of the Lost Shores., wished it was set up for 24 hour completion. Players around the world have numerous commitments other than the game itself. Family, job and other obligations hinder us dedicated players of GW2 to complete these awesome events, we do our best to see it thru to the end., but I had missed out on the final of the Lost Shores that i had missed by 2 hours cause of family business., in the future the final events of this type of play thru should be available from not just a specified time frame, but for a 24 hour period hands down.
