bots.i cant stand
Unfortunately there are bots all over, and even once reported they remain playing 24/7 for more than a week. The bots by this time get the gold they need and sell it, after more than a week of 24/7 farming they have more hacked accounts if/when a ban ever occurs. The message ANet is sending is, botting is worth it.

How do they have more hacked accounts? That makes no sense. In the case of hacked accounts Arenanet are addressing the issue by tightening security and other measures: see Mike O’Brien’s latest blog post on the subject.

Through brute-force methods and obtaining lists of passwords from other sites. The same way these groups always do… this is nothing new.
In fact, 2 more bots were added just between taking these 2 videos:

Also from players foolish enough to actually try and perchase gold from already stolen player accounts.

Over 24 hours later and they are still there. Thanks for letting this game sink guys, I was actually looking forward to playing this one for years to come. At this rate, I doubt there will be many humans left within 6 months… Sort your kitten out guys, at least reply to these posts and let us know you are doing something, because right now it’s obvious you guys don’t care. GM team eh? Yeah…. right… What is the response time, 3-4 weeks? That will show those gold sellers huh! Well, it will show them how profitable it is to bot and sell gold in this game. Why even attack D3 or WoW at this point when it’s pain free to screw over the economy in GW2.
Still here:

The point is that botting of itself doesn’t result in more hacked accounts – that’s a seperate issue that has to be dealt with by putting security measures in place.
Oh and be careful about posting videos of botters here, as that could be taken as showing how an exploit can been done. Just intended as a friendly warning as that can lead to an infraction.

Thanks Roqoco, I won’t post anymore of them. I think the point has been made, so I don’t see a need to keep uploading more videos or screenshots.
Just to be clear, my overall tone in these is probably more pessimistic than it needs to be, just upset about the matter because I do enjoy the game so much. So, less pessimism, more optimism from me

Hi everyone.
Thank your very much for your concerns. The team understands that this issue is highly annoying for the community of Guild Wars 2 and undermines the gaming experience of each of you. We would like to ask you to keep on reporting through the in-game tools and keep on playing; when you see what could be considered an exploit you can also email us to exploits@arena.net.
Thank you very much.
I will proceed now to lock this thread.
