guild bounty tier 2+ impossible!
I agree to this. its impossible. more time needed just to find the bountys not 2 mention killing them
I remember a time years ago when guilds that couldn’t complete content admitted they were bad and simply practiced if they wanted to get better. Now people just want free kitten and their kitten held while they pee.
1.assign each guildie to track each bounty target
2.record which target have been discovered
3.start bounty if all or 80% of target discovered
My guild has done it with a 5 man group per target, it’s certainly not impossible. You would have a good point against tier 3 however.

My guild done even tier3 with 4×5 man teams (more then once). It’s not that hard, just follow the steps that Empressium gave in his note. If you have 4×5, at least 3 teams will have targets, and most likely you will have 5/6 or 6/6 bosses found. If it’s 5 at the end all ppl go to the last map, someone ask on the chat and everyone keep looking for boss. One thing that you might want is for ppl not tu use alt’s for the fights. Some of the bosses are quite strong (you can always delegate 2 teams to kill one boss, just be sure that at least 1 person stays with every other boss that was found).
It’s not impossible, my guild is doing t3 every week. Last week we made it with 6min spear time.
As said above, find the bounties 30min before you start the mission itself. Don’t look for ones with spawning locations, just the ones with a route. Once you found everyone, start the mission and hope not to get anyone with a spawning location, if you got one save him for last. That’s all.
Guild bounties are simple. before you activate the bounty, meet in a private spot and have all your guildies join parties and squads, and then make sure you are all in some kind of voice chat, and then track down all the bounties. They are all located easily on Dulfy.net.
Next when every bounty is located and being tracked, activate the bounty and see which bounties you have and then go to them, in order or in the order you wish.
Any tier can be done this way, bounties are very simple, I think that’s why they made them harder.

It’s only extremely likely to fail if you roll one of Yanonka, Mayana, or Sotzz. If you get one of those, get people in that zone immediately and have them look for the target; maybe they’ll get lucky. Every other target is pretty easy to figure out and beat, with few exceptions. Some of them are really annoying and sap a lot of time, like Komali and Bwikki and Tarban and 2-MULT.
Beating a T3 is more about luck with which targets you get than skill in scouting/finding/beating them, which is an unfortunate reality.
So whats being pointed out is that these guild missions are a challange and you require some understanding, co-ordination and ability to completed them rather than there a forgone conclusion each time you attempt them.
Arenanet wins.
Challenge? If more cheap gimmicks can be considered a challenge. Not worth the time or influence.
Some bounties can’t be tracked and you absolutely need to be lucky to find them in less than 10 minutes, this is not a challenge, its frustrating and tedious.
ie: Big Mayana, Sotzz the Scallywag, Yanonka the Rat-Wrangler and Prisoner 1411 who often randomly resets during her patrol.
I’m fine with T2 in general… except when we get two random spawn bounties in the same mission.
Luck is not a skill.
You’re either getting kitten poor luck with your bounties, or your guild just sucks. Mine consistently does T2 bounties with about 15~30 members, and mostly in the 15~20 range.

They have different tiers for a reason. Depending on guild size and commitment you can complete the more difficult ones and get more points, working as intended (and requiring more scouts and organization IS more difficulty, even if the bounties dont have more hp through it). So if you find your guild isnt cut out for tier 2 or 3 work on the one you can do and sometimes organize attempts at the higher tiers when you can muster the needed players.
It seems to really have nothing to do with t1-2-3 and all about certain bosses and whether or not your roll is unlucky. Much like a lot in this game rng can screw ya. I have no idea why they think it’s such a good idea, when I have yet to meet a player who enjoys it.
Prescouting bounties kind of defeats the purpose, IMO. Its too bad they don’t randomize the locations and spawn the targets only when triggered.
Our guild only pre-scouts when the number of participating guildies is kind of worrysome unless they want to take it upon themselves. (Since I offer gold for finding a needed target many take the initiave and have a favorite they like to follow.)
If we have one full geoup of five per target for he tier we are goin to do then we don’t spend long setting up and just see what we get. Thus far we’ve been successful 100% except the very first one when I had no idea what to expect.
this would make me never play the game again….. dont care if thats what I had to do for a legendary… I’d end up hating the game by the time I got it.
Last night for example I made a Tier 2 and not a Tier 1, but only about 11 wanted to go. I usually like to have 1 of each tier so depending on turn out we can be fairly certain of success. Because i know i is hard to rally more later in he week for a full hunt if people have already gotten their loot. I can count on a core few to always help out but that is about it.
Back to longer than needed story. We pre-scoutted about 9 of the targets that have the longest/diffiult paths. Popped it and we got bookworm (scouted), poodaboo, and Trilliia. Have to admit i knew right then we would win. P and T have small areas and we already knew where bookworm was. We all rush to kill bookworm, then each team took on one of he other targets.
Tl;dr i agree it is more fun not to prescout, but risking not getting merits is a consideration.
We did 4 in a row earlier this week and failed each one. This was with ~6 groups of five and most targets pre-scouted. We had Prisoner, 2-Mult and several of the more difficult pathers but killed them. Unfortunately we also had Big Mayana, Sotzz the Scallywag or Yanonka the Rat-Wrangler on every single hunt. In spite of having the appropriate zones flooded with people we weren’t able to find them. We had enough people, knew what we were doing and have done it before plenty of times.
Frustrating, because it comes down to luck.
