Some Bosses like Tequatl the Sunless and the Inquest Golem Mark II do not have Pre-events… What’s your suggestion to those?

that they should add pre-events, and long complicated ones that can fail at various steps. people should not be able to camp bosses and afk autoattack them and get the chest imo.

Balthazar and Arah reaching failure is not a result of a long chain, but of NPCs’ stupid AI making them stand in harm’s way, and also of players acting like looters mobs instead of bodyguards.
What this game needs is better AI such that fighting mobs is similiar to fighting real PvPers, and secondly, non-griefable mechanisms for encounters that require ppl to do different things so as to co-op, instead of a mindless zerg where everyone is doing the same thing.
Well that and the # of mobs spamming aoe’s scales crazy bad with the number of players. They really just need to put in a logic check so only a certain amount of aoe’s will be cast in a certain period of time…or just give the stupid npc’s more hp.
I’d really rather see MORE rares added to the economy, personally, so limiting them is a bad idea, but longer/more preevent chains for meta events has always been something I’m in favor of.
the golem clearly does have a pre-event.. the part where you have 15 mins to activate and defend the barrels, stuff that and no golem.
how bout i dunno, using that silly medal system to determine reward as well.. why does the guy who gets 10 hits on tequatl get the same rewards as the gun who feverishly defended the turrets and hylek (although pointless) and was attacking the dragon from start to finish.
long chains are just more likely to fail and cause people to ignore the event completely.
