remove stupid morale bar in balthazar event
Either keep the NPCs alive, or it fails.
Not a hard concept. How to do this?
Spam AoE heals and put yourself between the bad guys and the good guys.
Not hard concept at all.

I know that there is one part nearish the beginning which is almost instant failure: the risen nobles
if anyone doesn’t know, nobles have been given a new ability: wells, yes, the same things necros have, and they shadowstep.
the 5th or so wave in this event spawns 20 or so risen nobles.
this is a breakdown of what happens usually:
1. nobles spawn
2. nobles shadowstep to cluster of NPC’s
3. nobles instantly put down a well
4. NPC’s attack nobles because apparently, NPC’s have no concept of “don’t stand in the evil, you moron”
5. any NPC’s that AREN’T in the wells run into the wells to attack the nobles
6. all NPC’s are now in wells
7. wells tick once
8. all NPC’s are dead
9. event fails
there is exactly one situation where this doesn’t occur and it is if a player sacrifices themself to get the nobles to waste their shadowstep/well
and then the NPC’s run to the nobles/wells/dead player anyway and die to the wells >_<
there is no way of stopping this, no way of removing the wells, no way of stopping the wells from being put down, and no way of preventing the NPC’s from leeroying to their deaths.
the only thing you can do is pray that the wells dissipate before all the NPC’s die and hope that you have enough morale left to survive the steps of “unavoidable meteor showers of RNG death”
Shadowstep can NOT be triggered in melee range. Camp where the nobles spawn so they are in melee range when they show up, and then there will never be any shadowsteps.
However, it’s hard to pull off in a pug from my experience of more than 50 runs. People just don’t follow orders to camp their spawn points.
There are only 2 waves of nobles during the event.
The 1st wave of nobles spawns at the north edge of the broken road/pavement, south of the vista, right after the wave of going uphill, i.e. behind the team. This wave is the hardest becaue people just love chasing the mobs in the previous wave uphill to the south, leaving the NPCs behind, while the nobles spawn behind them in the north. The death toll usually is at least 40% of the morale.
The 2nd wave spawns in front of temple waypoint, right after the wave of veteran acolytes. This wave is easier for pugs because they spawn in front of the team.
BTW, the veteran acolytes are the deadliest thanks to culling. They continuously spawn suicidal bombers (plague carriers) and risen in droves, which culls the acolytes themselves.
