Q:

the waiting time for an event has grown exponentially.

ok become much harder…

ok less drops….

ok champions spawn every 10 secs….

but…

we can have the old waiting time?

update :

shelter from 15 mins to 35 mins
jofast from 20 mins to 30 mins
penitent from 20 mins to 40 mins

i understand the " economy of game" but wat about the economy of players?
i mean i already noticed ppl dont farm in a place made for t6 mats
probably in 2 weeks we gonna pay a t6 mat 1g each?

hope anet can make a step back

Maybe now more people will run Balthazar since you get a ton of loot out of it.

It’s quite sad when the major improvements that a game company can make are reversions to a prior state. It’s fine to experiment and try new things, but only when experience guides that experimentation and prevents it from simply repeating past mistakes (in gaming history) or making bad decisions. There is really no excuse for Orr in its current state. Anet would be making progress if they simply reverted it to the January patch.

Maybe now more people will run Balthazar since you get a ton of loot out of it.

And, why would people choose to experience failure. It’s not in our nature. Until it is redesigned to be an interesting, challenging encounter it will remain in a closed or underway state—as it is as we speak; on all US servers. No rational human will consciously devote their time to creating or participating in failure.

Failure? Every time I have had two invasions completed, Balthazar is taken since it bumps up pact morale to get more reinforcements. If you want to rush and just do one invasion that’s fine, but you’ll lose. If you really want to play it safe, do all three.

It will only fail if you don’t make an effort, which is why it’s a very well made event chain.

It’s a ton of fun to do and even more fun to organise, and maybe with incandescent dust being needed to make crystalline dust people won’t mind farming the t5 mats and bags.

Champ not fix, more cooldown on Shel Pent Josf.
Now; I can see a toon of botters in Orr and no1 report them Coz No1 in Orr anymore.

Looks like I’m losing my favorite 2 events in Orr. I don’t see how it’s worthwhile to remain in cursed shore anymore. With grenth failing perpetually and events not being doable without a decent sized group (not helped by buffing the difficulty of these events), I think it is clear that we are not wanted there.

Well, no. Any co-ordinated group that completes two invasions will beat Balthazar, and if you’re still worried then, message the people in your guild or in LA to go to Rally Waypoint for the final attack and I guarantee you’ll make it. If all of the NA servers can’t do it, that to be honest just means the people over there are too lazy to actually organise themselves and just want to mindlessly zerg everything like how you can at Melandru, Dwayna and Lyssa or the other world bosses.

Maybe people got burned out on being a raid leader and came to GW2 because there were to be no raids. Some NA servers do the event — just not all of them. Nor are Melandru, Dwayna and Lyssa mindless zergs.

So like I said, too lazy to organise. I feel pretty exhausted after organising a Balth run myself, so yeah I don’t have the willpower to do it too often, but the only reason an attack should ever fail is not getting two invasions done. It’s not like Warmaster Chan or Grenth where you’ll get the cheesiest losses ever because of NPCs being made out of paper and giant risen AOEs of doom, you just put in enough effort for Balthazar and you’ll get it. I’d say it’s actually my favourite series of event chains in the game because of the amount of teamwork it requires.

Melandru isn’t a mindless zerg? Right, so you range the priest and roll out of whirlwind of doom, and then you just faceroll the champ spider and any of the weaker mobs that spawn just get burned down by AOEs. Lyssa, you just chase the priestess around in circles ressing everyone who gets OHKO’d by the champ gorillas, and Dwayna you just have to range and dodge occasionally, the statue is no threat. Earlier today a guy in my guild switched to scepter, started autoattacking then tabbed out of the game to go do something else, it requires absolutely no effort at all.

I personally think it would be awesome if servers could organise Balthazar runs at least once a week, it’s totally worth doing for the experience of it, the spades and spades of loot you pick up from mobs, the obsidian shards from the merchant and that feeling of joy when everything culminates together, you get the pact to the steps and finally take on the priest after the tension leading the pact up watching the morale bar drop and drop.

Back to the thread though, while I hate the nerf myself (sucks trying to farm mats for legendary and then the best farms get nerfed), I feel that it’s better now to just go and go to other regions and do things and then just stop by Orr, and if a farm event is on, awesome.

My question is why advertise dynamic events as part of the core of the game if thats what you nerf the most because you cant fix the economy of the game. I would like that guy that was in charge of advertising to talk to the guy that designed the dynamic events they probably should meet. If you dont want people to play your game as you designed it you probably shouldnt have designed it that way.
