what is the best way to farm karma?
I don’t know the best way to farm, but I know about a way to do so via fractals, however, it’s a very time consuming since you have to have a very high personal level and then run lower levels (I believe it was around 10 levels lower than your current level). Some guy did the calculations and said that with all the karma boosts possible, you could potentially get 8-20k karma in a single fractal run when setup properly.
If I remember correctly, a post somewhere mentioned something about levels 8, 18, 28, 38, etc being the best levels to run.
Fractals and wvw is the best imo. For fractals you get a nice amount from being at a higher level than the fractal you run. Straight from the wiki…..
“Completing a fractal difficulty scale below your personal reward level awards you karma, based on the following formula:
6400 + 8 * Completed difficulty * (Personal reward level – Completed difficulty) = Karma awarded The (Personal reward level – Completed difficulty) factor is capped at 10.”
im 48 but the last part is capped at 10 so if I ran a lvl 18…..
6400 + 8 * 18 * (10) = 7840 karma
for wvw, with a gold medal in the event you get…
- castle= 1700
- keep= 1360
- tower= 680
- camp= 340
- sentry= 170
- dolyak= 85
So you could get more karma faster in wvw if you joined a map where the enemy had captured everything and were no longer on the map, allowing a karma train to start up…
Agreed: if you’ve a commander and zerg into capping things the wvw karma train is probably the best.
If you enjoy doing Activities, those can also be a fun way to earn karma. You get 600 karma for a loss, and 1000 karma for a win. Most activities are over within 5 – 10 minutes, which isn’t a bad return.
