With latest patch there were dead drops from some Order of Whispers agent, saying that there’s a force much darker from both flame legion and dredge, that put them together.
I know that’s just dumbest thing in the world, but we all know how Howard the Duck went, do we? And we still kinda like it ?

That’d be interesting. A certain kind of cliche, but interesting. However I would rather have the Consortium as “not-good, but not-villainous” types rather than yet another “corporation causing trouble to profit off the mess”.

Folks have brought this up in the lore forum when part 2 came out and the Consortium first showed interest.
However, I just can’t see it. The Consortium is a business, but they wouldn’t do something to jeopardize themselves – and forming the Molten Alliance is doing just that. They’re just taking advantage of the situation to bring in profit (but not out of kindness), as far as I can see.
