Do pugs rush through the MWF at this point?
I run through this dungeon rather quickly at least once a day. There are cut scenes, yes, but a lot of the dialogue is done while you’re moving. Or, in one case, during a boss fight (which in my opinion is the best part of the dungeon, love that guy). Even with a pug who is speeding through it you should have no trouble whatsoever seeing the story. It’s a very strait forward, though entertaining, dungeon.
There’s not a great deal of rushing you can actually do in the dungeon. Many of the sections are gated off until the NPCs (Rox and Braham) get there and most of the dungeon requires you to kill enemies to save prisoners / escort Braham and Rox and such, so you can’t really mad-dash your way through ignoring everything. The group will sometimes get a little bit ahead in a few sections, but they won’t be going too far, so if you hang back and listen to the NPC banter its not like you’ll be hugely behind. The only section of the dungeon people regularly skip enemies in is the little optional ledge room filled with spiders with an orichalcum vein.
There are no actual cutscenes except for the boss areas (which basically consist of moving camera shots to show scenery and the bosses making an entrance), and those are very short and unskippable, so no worries there.

I’ve used that site often for other dungeons, but even groups that don’t advertise as speed groups generally expect everyone to skip content and cutscenes.
I don’t think there is any way to skip things in this dungeon. I’ve been running it once or twice a day and there is only one way to do this dungeon which is to do everything because you need to keep the NPCs alive to trigger the next sequence of events. Which means you gotta fight everything. The NPCs will stop and say a few things between fights, but it’s all ingame chat and not cutscenes. The dungeon takes minimum of 45 minutes and up to an hour depending on how often you wipe and kill things.
Just stand at the entrance and /say LFG and you will get a group in less than a minute.
Except that you can’t really skip any content in this ‘dungeon’. The only thing you can do to speed up the run is kill stuff quicker.
Please give us a keyring…
There’s no real rushing and you cannot miss any of the story bits. just join a PuG that sounds casual enough to have fun. You have your hardcore optimize everything players just as with other content, but anyone that can push there space bar and move out of the red circles will be able to do the dungeon.
Tell them that you are watching the cut scenes then.
Don’t sweat it. This one’s designed in such a way that you can’t really rush it or skip anything. The one skippable cutscene still happens in real time even if you skip it, so the only difference is that if you skip it you don’t get the cutscene camera angle and might make it down a ramp faster… and you’ll still have to wait for the npcs to show up.
Just join a group and enjoy yourself!

Pugging my runs take anywhere between 35 minutes and 1 hour 10 minutes depending on the players I get. I doubt anybody would be able to get this dungeon below 25 minutes so yeah I guess you could call 35 minutes a speed run.
I hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy it by now. If not, a simple solution is to make your own post on gw2lfg, and advertise that A) you are new / new players are welcome and you don’t want to rush through any of it.
It’ll take a little longer to find a group, but you’ll find one of like-minded individuals (after all, wouldn’t you instantly join a group if you saw that post? : ) )

Everyone started off as a first timer for this dungeon last week. I pug run molten a few times a day and there are always 1 or 2 players that are doing it for the first time. Just tell them when you join the group that it is your first time. No one will kick you for being new to it. It just lets the group know if they need to explain any mechanics.
I pugged 3 level 20-40s that were first time players through molten and had to 2 man the final boss. If you need someone to help you through the dungeon, just message me.
