If so, in your great wisdom Anet, should I just run CoF path 1 over and over to get gold to buy the jetpack or continue farming Molten Facility until one doesn’t drop? I gotta be pushing 30+ runs since 3 days ago, maybe.. I know that’s not nearly as much as a lot of the farmers though(I’ve read people have run it 100+ times and no jetpack/mini/infinite zerk recipe, where others get it first attempt or within first 10 times running it).

It’s obvious that after the event is done, they will jump price-wise, so is it worth the rare kitten chance to run it over and over to not get it and not have the cash to buy it, or try to farm CoF over and over to get cash to buy it before it skyrockets?

Side question; why go from an event where you could buy the skins either by farming tokens or with ingame cash to an event where the desired item requires a kitten ton of gold to buy it on the TP or to be one of the luckiest S.O.B. in the game? seems like you took a step back there imo.

I think they are trying to either drive people away or are trying to drive people to have to buy gems and trade them for gold to hopefully get enough to buy one. Out of millions of players, there’s only about 100 (I think it was less last I looked) on the TP, for both mini/jetpack.

It does seems like they are reversing course. They took a step forward with the way SAB rewards was done, and then two steps back by going back to RNG exclusive stuff (in extremely temporary content).

They read a lot of the comments and suggestions on the forum (reading all of them would be a full time job in it’s own right). Then they decide for themselves which ones they’re going to listen to and which they’re going to ignore.

Although I live in hope that if we keep saying it (and more importantly don’t make the current system work by pouring money into the game to get these things) they will eventually concede that rediculously low probability RNG drops is not a good system for cosmetic rewards either.
