With the recent dye packs that have popped up on the gem store, there are 12 new dyes that were also added to boot. Six for “frost” and six for “flame.” Here:

It says that the dyes are “exclusive flame or frost colors.” Does this mean that the colors are only accessible through the gem-bought dye packs for a limited time? Or by “exclusive” do they just mean new? Meaning they can they still be picked up in unidentified dyes at a later time?

They obviously wont be gone from your character, but I dont think there has been any official word on how obtainable they will be yet. Probably because the second there is an official word on anything, the Trading Post reacts accordingly.

hi there i wouldnt buy the dye packs as they are RNG so youre not gaurenteed a an exclusive dye,you can buy them seperately on tp , just search the consumables section, i found typing in dye was a waste of time
i now have 5 of the dyes, from tp and i wasted a lot of moey buying packs and not getting 1

I don’t mind spending coins on gems and I want to support the game by buying stuff, but I just won’t gamble with my money. I refuse to buy the chests/dye kits. I would, however, buy a lot of new items if I could use gems to buy just the dye or the skin i want (don’t mind if they are pricey). I really dislike the way the gem store is heading at the moment and just wish that there were more cool stuff (without RNG) to spend money on.

Then don’t gamble and spend your coin on gems to buy them off the TP where others have already gambled and now are selling.

Yes, no one ever suggested that it was anything but luck that determined which dyes you get. It is always better to spend gold for the dye you want instead of hoping that the dice roll your way.

100 gems costs about 3-3.5g currently and the only dyes on the TP that cost that much are the special ones. If you buy 2 five-packs, you would spend 1,000 gems or 30-35g and you aren’t guaranteed one of the new dyes.

In contrast, if you are willing to spend 25g, you can buy the four cheapest on the TP: the two teals from Frost and Cinders & Flare from Flame.
