Help me re-cap on what Ive missed here.
You can still do everything that has to do with the first parts of the living story up to this point.
That said a game world that changes and moves on even when your not playing was kinda a big selling point for this game. But yes this content won’t be around forever.

Fair argument but at that point you are starting to tilt over the edge of practicality.
For who exactly? Muds have been doing content in this fashion for years now and if Anet can ramp it to once a week as thay entend than most of us will agree its good :P.
…you must realize that a MMO producer will always create content with the active community in mind, instead of those who leave the game for months at a time? After all, part of the reason for doing such temporary content to make the game world more lively is to entice players to actually keep playing.
I mean, it’s not as if you were suddenly at any real disadvantage for missing part of the living story. You will ‘merely’ miss out on story content, and maybe on a couple of skins. But that’s what you’ll have to live with for not playing for several months. Simple as that.
What?…
Is this really a problem? You were away from the game, and updates happened?
The current event is spanning for 4 months. You can do every aspect of it until the very last day of May I believe. So that’s basicly 5 months not 4.
If you cared anything about the game, and it’s content, you could have tarcked it on:
- The website
- On facebook
- In e-mail notifications
All this, plus what Frotee said above me.
