I found it highly irregular that Anet decided to mark the dungeons and instances on my map, yet failed to let me know that I needed to talk with Rox and Brahm prior to going into the instances and even the final dungeon in order to receive the end reward. Effectively I did the hardest parts yet did not receive my reward because I failed to watch Anet’s cut scenes. The only way that I would have known that I needed to do those was if I had clicked all the way into my hero tab and achievements for the living story. As I was more interested in playing the new content, I got slapped in the face.

Question: Why did Anet not insert a little warning when we tried to enter the instances that we needed to talk to so and so before we went in and then gave us the option to continue anyways or to cancel? Or better yet, why not make us talk to the NPCs we need to talk to prior to being allowed to enter said instances/dungeons?

It was VERY disappointing to do the work and then not get the reward because of 5 min worth of cut scenes…

Which "end reward" are you talking about here? It should all still be available to you.

If you mean simply the title for going through the achievements, can’t you just go back and talk to everyone for the achievements you skipped to complete them and get the title / gauntlets ticket? If Rox and Braham have moved on or something, there are still these, like, story NPCs that let you re-see and do the content.

If you mean the last achievement listed currently, that’s still upcoming.

If you mean the chests in the dungeon or something, though I doubt this one, you might have just skipped opening them.

For what it’s worth, the in-game mail that you get from the NPCs points you to where to go to talk to everyone, as I recall. If you haven’t found them yet, the GW2 wiki may be of help to you.

But I was doing the content as it came out, and it sounds like you hopped into it recently, so maybe it’s more confusing that way as a result?

it’s been stated, on multiple occasions, that to get your gloves and the other stuff, liek the title, you have to complete the prior Flame and Frost achievements. The in-instance rewards, such as chests, can be gotten by everyone. In fact,t he chest with the ticket inside is tied to an achievement itself, so I really don’t see how there’s any room for misinterpretation here. The fault doesn’t lie with Anet.
