We only have 2 weeks to possibly get a jetpack!? Why aren’t there tokens like with every other dungeon with items that we might want for skins etc?

While I support MOST things that aNet has done, this is ridiculous and completely wrecks any chance of time-restricted players to even participate.

Shame, would have looked cool on my primeval armoured warrior, too.

Agreed that tokens would be a better system for things like this.

However disagreed that every item ever released should be available to every player, always. Why do so many people have the need for EVERYTHING. Settle with the things you have a chance to get when you ARE playing, which is a LOT of things. Some people will never be satisfied. So what you miss a jetpack…there will be oodles of new items released constantly! You couldn’t possibly have a need for all those items!

I would have agreed if said item actually was useful.
In this case however the items is completely useless and only cosmetic and therefore should really be a rare sight.
Keep in mind that it is tradeable so you can buy it from the TP.

With no vertical progression the game is all about looks like GW1,so that’s why ppl are upset with this limited time chance to get a cool looking thing, also they seem just to added armor skins thro gem store whens the last full set of armor been added to ingame ? medium armor users need some love :P

This is exactly what I was going to write.

The more I think about this, the more it irritates me. Arenanet has said in the past that they don’t like it when players “farm” instances or content. They have gone out of their way to make goals achievable if enough effort is put into those goals. Legendary weapons are a bit over the top, but again, if you work hard enough and give it enough time, the goal is achievable. The only sure-fire option for the molten jet pack leaves a player at the mercy of the trading post. Even in Super Adventure Box, you could run the instance enough times to get the skins you wanted and if they happen to drop while running it, well then that was all the better. Why has Arenanet suddenly changed the way they do things?!

Actually they have said that they want people to farm for the BEST things (stat-wise that is) they have however been quite clear that you will need to work to get cosmetic stuff.

To have things that can not be obtained anymore? It’s a dream of every flat progression game player (GW1 included). Think about it – to have jetpack as a one of few, knowing that there is no way that other people now (after this LS arch is done I mean) can’t get!
Having so crappy legendaries as we do, almost every aspect of game dumbed down to lowest nomination of casual player, having something so rare is great. Epic.
Look how desirable is Mad Kings journal now, how expensive are weapons from Halloween, stuff from Lost Shores and how prices from SOB skins are spiking (that’s why I keep my for sell in the future).
Create rare drop in flat progression game? Great! Make it time limited offer to ascend it to epic level.
Does it punish anyone? I don’t think so – I’m pretty sure I won’t get my jetpack, while I still have lot of time in upcoming week. Too rare, too much farming needed. And I will envy more those gamers who will had it. But still – I think it’s great!

You have a chance to acquire one from chest at the end of Molten Facility dungeon. It’s rather easy, PUG friendly instance but available for limited time only.

I’m disgusted by this myself. I have done all the F&F content up to this and get nailed with RNG items. I’ll get mine because I’m not a casual player, but I feel really bad for the players that were enjoying this content and can only play a little a day and want the stuff. I know quite a few that are really ticked.

I was surprised by the two week time limit on the dungeon.

I have friends and guilds as resources to help me run the dungeon but this senseless time limit has given the whole affair a pointless feeling of urgency which does nothing to make it fun and only serves to make it annoying.

Why not make the thing available for a month? I simply can’t understand the thought behind this decision.
