…That title sounds a little weird out of context. But oh well!

I just wanted to say thank you for some of the positive changes I’m seeing to the way story is being handled with this content. Although there’s not much more actual motion, the cutscenes for dialogue are far more engaging than the “talking heads” cutaway scenes in the personal story, since it doesn’t take the player out of the world. Little touches like Braham stopping to physically open a giant gate, or Rox emoting at her googly-eyed new friend, are also very welcome.

I found the gameplay itself to be fun and appropriately tuned for a solo player. The fact that the missions take place in instances that aren’t just part of the open world actually helps maintain interest, since it gives new things to look at (I enjoyed raiding Uzolan’s lab in the human personal story for the same reason), although it would be cool to have access to those places after the chapter is over.

The reference to eating karma in the gift boxes made me chuckle. Rox and her pet are adorable.

If this is what we have to look forward to in the Living Story, I’m really excited to see more of it. Thank you for incorporating so much of the player feedback on the personal story into this new content. You guys rock.

I have whinged and moaned made constructive criticism before on the Personal Story forums, about cutscene animation, voice acting, cohesion and all sorts. I have also been critical about the slow build up for the Living Story previously. So I’d like to say I enjoyed the way these quests were designed and the cutscene style worked. I thought they were effective. It left me curious to know more which is a good thing.
