Weapon Facility Idea: Yes/No
I think that would be one long fractal… Most people opt to avoid the longer ones if at all possible, if they remove the special rewards, how would the time investment for doing this as a fractal be compairable to others?
(Side note I love this dungeon when it doesn’t bug.)
Wow, this is a great idea, especially because the Fractals of the mists are reliving history! It would have to be condensed, to be able to do it in 15minish but it’s a really good idea, I hope they do this.

The part everybody loves about the MF is that the weapon testing and end bosses are really well done and not just heavy tanks. I think it could start at the weapon testing section and make a good fractals. I don’t care about killing veteran murellows (even if the drill was a fun idea.)
Here’s a better idea in my opinion:
Make the Lab as a lobby, you can choose to do the fractals OR the molten facility dungeon.
They could keep adding temporary dungeons there too, it would be perfect because people who really would want to do it would rather do it straightaway, non dependant on luck and the people who would rather avoid it would simply reroll non-stop if it was in the rotation.
Hmmm. I’ve said this before, but why not keep Rox and Brahwen around their home cities, and talking to them results in them basically saying ‘Rox/Brahwen told me another Facility in progress was found—want to help me go shut it down? Make sure to bring friends!’, with an option to be taken to the dungeon. Makes sense narratively, makes people wanting another dungeon happy, and the way the code in SAB worked demonstrated it’s entirely possible to have the dungeon entrance be a character dialogue option rather than a fixed map point.
If they remove some of the parts, like the drilling and/or rescuing prisoners.
Hmm, yeah I like this idea. Take some of the dungeons of times gone buy and put mini versions of them in Fracs. Nice idea

Hmm, I think I like this idea best. (kinda like having an npc in whatever zone the temp content is put in, that acts like a historian, that lets us redo the content)
It being in Fractals is a good idea, but its a bit long to be a fractal.
Either way, it better have the same rewards (jetpack/mini) if its made permanent.

If they remove jetpack and Mini from chests so that those remain unique to the story arc event I’m all for this idea. I do love the dungeon and would definitely repaet it from time to time later on, when the actual storyline is completed and over with. I’d HATE to see the super rare and unique rewards become permanent and therefor lose all their value.
Someone already suggested this, but it does seem like a decent idea.
Perhaps in order to cut it short it might skip following the drill (those random mobs aren’t really related to the story anyway, they just live in holes with no connexion to the surface or anything and become enraged when you accidentally set them free. Ungrateful much?) and just start where you’re overlooking the weapons test. Or be cruel and start it IN the weapons test.
A thief was handily timing an earlier run we did which seemed pretty normal, and lasted 40m. I’d guess that shaving off that part would make it more reasonable, as the drill means you literally can’t do that bit faster.
Meanwhile the NPC dialogue required to progress could trigger as you progressed to that part instead (coincidentally, this would also prevent it bugging when Rox doesn’t make her ‘I have horns’ speech). So instead of hearing tales of the horrors of mining followed by a gate opening, they make a truncated version of their discovery while following us through the left gate, then whoever we find realizes the hurry of the situation and they discuss matters while we move to the right gate.
Almost as though we were freeing people from a horrible fate, or something.

Actually I was wondering how the things survived in those little caves. I was looking last night and at least the first on has a hole/connection to the surface (or at least appears to be one). Not sure on the other ones though, forgot to check after the first one.
