I havent played since chrismas, and was wondering where do you start the flame and frost stuff?

You should have recieved an in-game email telling you where to go.

But the starting points for both of the actual story bits of Flame and Frost are in Black Citadel. One is in Rytlock’s office, the other is in the Imperator Core. Both are on the top floor of the central building in Black Citadel, and marked by glowing yellow instance icons.
