Hi,

I’m having difficulty displaying my forum signature after my posts. My forum signature is:

V deathTouch V – Warrior
SWäG [Still Winning and Grinning] / AoN [All or Nothing]
Maguuma

and I ensure that the “Show Signature” box is checked after each post, but my signature fails to appear. I do not get an error that it is too long, and even when I trim it down to only this as a test:

V deathTouch V – Warrior
Maguuma

…it still does not appear. Does anyone know what might be happening and how I might resolve the issue?

After adding or changing a signature it can take a little while for it to update on comments you’ve already posted. But if you go to your Recent Posts section of your profile, you should see your updated signature on the posts listed there, though it may take some time for the posts displayed in the actual threads to update.

You can also force the changes onto your recent posts by editing a post and saving it again for that post to be updated immediately.

Otherwise, if you edit your profile and save the changes, you can sometimes force it to update quicker by editing your signature again, making no changes and hitting save again.

However, if you are making changes to your signature and the changes are saved but not apparent on your posts in your comment history, then you may need to force a refresh of the page as it has been updated but you are not seeing the latest version of the page. Holding CTRL and hitting F5 will force a refresh of the page and not use cached elements so it displays the current state of the page, not a cached version.

So the second line was too long and there might have been a “space” after maguuma that counted as a 4th line.
However I did get an error message for that and now it works. I’m not sure if you will see it after I change my signature again.

Edit: Just to make sure, you did press “save” at the bottom of the screen?

And yeah, I make sure to save it everytime, and it confirms that it saved. Cache has also been cleared.

Then I’m out of ideas. The warning comes up for me about the lines and the maximum of lines, once that was taken care of I had your sig as in my above post as text (which shows up/changes after you post something).

I don’t know much about browsers themself, try maybe using a different one?

Unfortunately even trying a different browser (both firefox and safari) didn’t resolve the issue.

Does anyone from Anet have an idea? I’m thinking this issue might be on my account/server end.

Let me get this right.

You go to edit your profile and the text that you want in your signature is displayed in the edit signature box, it is just that your signature will not display on your posts?

You mentioned, “I ensure that the “Show Signature” box is checked after each post, but my signature fails to appear”, but do you also have the “Show Signature By Default” check box checked in your Edit Profile screen?

Or is it that there is nothing shown in your signature box on the Edit Profile screen no matter what you enter into it and save?
