Something that would be really helpful in preventing some really stupid annoying forum situations…
I know this is a kind of feature, that exists and is missing here.
I don’t know, if Text tracking is for it the right name, buts the best thign I came up with to describe, what I want.

Often it happens here in this forum, that you lose all your written text, when you want to post something and then it happens:

Err 404 or any other crap, that leads to the point not posting your written text..
Then you reload the site to get back to your original point and EVERYTHING what you’ve written is LOST… really annoying, especialy when you know, that there exist ways I think based on forum cookies or so, which can prevent such annoying situations, because people don’t always think about it to better make every like 10 seconds a copy of the text, just to be safe to be able to paste the text back, if something happens with the forum after trying to post the text…

So as long a person doesn’t completely close all tabs or the window where the forum is shown in, people should be able to see still their written text, if they click on the arrow buttons to go back and forth in the forums links

With the size of possible post, it would make cookies HUUUUGE…

If you really want the possibility to recover text use external means. For example in FF you can use AddOns (one of them: Form Recovery)
