Hey everyone, I got an email today from “noreply@guildwars2.com” saying that my email has been changed and to confirm it with the link below, or, if that is wrong, contact the GW support team at the site.

Well, #1, I didn’t change my email on my account.
#2: Whenever a friend or I try to go to support.guildswars2.com it goes to some completely bogus zendesk website. “Please enter your account name and the credit card you used to purchase it for verification.”
I laughed.

Zendesk is the GW2 Support site. Did you also get email(s) about the Edge of the Mists beta? Did you sign up for the beta?

Really? The site looks so…. poor compared to the old support, I must have mistaken it for an illegitimate redirect.
And no, my EoTM email is separate from this one, but maybe it’s talking about my EoTM account.

Yes, I realize the email(s) for Edge of the Mists are separate, but it seems many, if not most, people who received the EotM email(s) also received the ‘new email change’ email, as well.

It is always best to contact Customer Support when in doubt about account security.
