This one is annoying the hell out of me and I’d really like to see the feature added.
After login, the user should be redirected to the page he/she clicked the log-in button in, not the main forum.
You can store the url in session pass it in a hidden field or even as a parameter in url (though probably not advised as it would make the URL excessively long), but please do it. It’s a basinc feature with high usability value.
I agree wholeheartedly, more often than not I decide not to reply to a thread because I’d have to log in and search for the thread again.
Yes, please. Every time I have to re-open my browser I have all of these log-in pages on my tabs (for GW2 forum posts I was monitoring), and after logging in they are just gone. I can’t hit BACK to go back to where I was. It’s just over.
This bugs the living daylights out of me as well.
Click facebook link to get to the forums for something interesting, walk away because theres no point, it won’t actually link to the stupid page.
I can only echo the views of others. I find this infuriating at times. I usually have 3-4 threads open in my browser and just leave them there to check new posts or as a resource when needed. yet if i’m made to log in, half the time the back button doesn’t work at all (if anything it just goes back to login page instead… thanks that’s helpful).
It seems to do this a bit less lately, but the redirect function on login still doesn’t work at all.
I use chrome and firefox, never seen redirect work with either.
most annoying.
most forums “remember me” (auto login when I go to any forum page), but not here.
those that don’t remember me DO redirect me to the page I was at, but not here.
