It would be great if I was warned that my post was going to be over the character limit when I previewed it instead of getting an error when I hit reply.
I’m not always that long winded, but I do like to quote a lot for context. It’s not a huge deal to trim things up after I hit reply and get the error, but I think if the system can check on posting, it could be made to check on previewing without too much trouble.
Also, it would be nice if the topic title box didn’t let me put in more than 45 characters, seeing as I just ran into that error too. I guess I’m more long winded that I thought
