Guild Wars 2

This is for me one of the best activities. Please add it to daily rotation activities, just like you added sanctum sprint. I would be sad if it would go away for a year.

Aspect Arena is unbelievably boring..

Wind form #3 and you can run orbs with little effort. Orbs is what awards all the points, killing players does close to nothing to the scoreboard.

Where did the activity npc move to?

For those who don’t like it… don’t play it? There are other activities I wouldn’t touch with a twenty-foot bargepole, and most I can only do so many times. This is one of the few where I can sit down and play ten-twenty rounds in one sitting without getting tired. Different people have different tastes.

I also don’t find wind #3 to be that powerful – I’ve killed plenty of runners using wind. I think it’s almost as much compensating for lack of lightning tether and sun dash as anything – those can get you moving quite effectively.

Congrats on not liking the thing

Aspect Arena was my favorite mini-game, so I was kind of annoyed that it didn’t get added into the activity rotation. Please add it! It and Sanctum Sprint are the only ones I like at all, so I’d like to be able to play AA more than once a year.

anyway, I am too a great fan of this activity :P i almost never enter keg brawl or crab toss. i mostly like pvp-like activities. snowballs. dragon balls. aspect arena. southsun survival <3 they are the best.

1. Add it permanently to daily rotation.
2. Keep aspects, remove orbs and make it a deathmatch type of game, or king of the hill.
3. ???
4. Profit!

Or take lightning aspect, grab orb, tether your way across air gaps and other obstacles.

Part of the game is being able to take into account, and counter, the other guy’s escape skills

I guess, we will see it becoming this time a permanent minigame, because under the achievements is one for the aspect Arena with is infinite together with the typical minigame loot bag reward for playing the minigame xx times

it would make no sense to put into the game such an infinite loot bag achievement, if Anet would’t intent to implement this time the Aspect Arena as a permanent minigame activity.
Last year they did with Refugium Sprint and the Survival, because they were part of the Living Story more or less.

Many people since then wished for it, that ANet should turn the aspect Arena also into a pemanent activity, so its very likely, that after the events, so when the LS2 starts and the festival ends, that we will have the Aspect Arena then as a new permanent activity together with some new achievements based on this, somethign like:

Burning Sun
Kill Players while using the Powers of the Aspect of the Sun

Swift Winds
Kill Players while using the Powers of the Aspect of the Wind

Roaring Thunder
Kill Players while using the Powers of the Aspect of Lightning

Master of the Sun
Return Sun Orbs to the Base

Master of the Wind
Return Wind Orbs to the Base

Master of the Lightnings
Return Lightning Orbs to the Base

Disciple of the Zephirite
Master all 3 Elements of the Sun, Wind and Lightning and Win the Aspect Arena at least 10 Times

Orb Interuptor
Interupt foes from taking sucessfully an Orb

Orb Catcher
Kill Orb Runners before they return to the Base

Stuff like this could be very easily done and provides this activity easily as achievements for it.

They had the infinite achievement granting a loot bag for the Aspect Arena in Cutthroat Politics too – in fact, I started this event with the counter at seven. So I don’t think it means anything – in fact, the fact that the infinite achievement is still in the Living World section is probably a good indication that it’s temporary.

Orpheal, awesome ideas for achievements Nice title would be great too, for doing meta achievement. Like Master of Aspects etc

I didn’t get to play it last year, every time I tried I was taken to a regular PvP map (Still have no clue why). But playing it this year WOW, just seriously WOW, such a great activity. I’m in love with it.

I don’t think they’d add it for the same reason that Dragon Arena wasn’t added. They’re festival activities.

Though why they kept Sanctum Sprint as constant is questionable. I’d have thought both would be festival (read: only occurs when the Bazaar’s around) activities.

Yes, it would be a great addition to the rotation in my opinion!

I could very well live without crab toss or southsun revival, but that is only my humble taste.

So more variety is good!

yes, that one too! I knew I was forgetting something, and I’m sure we’re still forgetting one or two. maybe have an asura on the mountain manning a snow-making machine? :P
I think the jumping puzzles should not be included. activities are meant to be pvp-esque
