Guild Wars 2

Wiki states what follows: ‘All boxes drop 3-8 Quartz Crystals, with a high chance of a random recipe and a rare chance of a Kite Fortune. During Festival of the Four Winds, drops 5 Festival Tokens.’

Well, 5 boxes opened, no tokens here. What gives? :P

So… Does anyone else have this problem? Is it even a problem? :P IS WIKI WRONG?! o_O :P

Probably just the law of averages. I opened about 80 boxes yesterday and got…some number of tokens? I don’t recall how many I got out of them as I had some already.

I got 8 tokens out of one of the two boxes i opened yesterday, so i’d assume it’s just some random drop that averages out to 5 per box or so.

I opened an obscene amount of boxes to try it out. not a chance its an average of 5 per box.

This is roughly 750-825 boxes opened from the vendors. There is defiantly no kite fortunes this year and you need to open like 4-6 to get the festival tokens. There is a very rare chance for a rare type aqua breather and the recipes are the same celestials from last year.

Eh, thanks. I guess there’s no better way to get rid of elder/mithril and such anyway…

It’s one or the other, quartz or tokens.

i opened ~1000 boxes and barely got 500 tokens….. but at least i made some of the money back from discarding those useless quartz crystals for 50s per 250 stack…

You mean those quartz crystals that were worth about 1.2 silver each just prior to this patch, and spiked up after the sanctum went away last year? They are only useless/worthless if you are impatient.
