So with this patch, we got a NPC that accepts Blade Shards and gives back 1 green for a 100 shards?
Is this a joke and is Anet serious?

Is this the NPC we waited nearly 3 months for?
Should I trade my blade shards or is there a different NPC coming in the upcoming patch?
The 100 shards to 1 green seems a little ridiculous….

I bought 250 of those boxes using the tokens. got 3 rares and 1 exotic and the rest green.
so ~1.2% chance of rare, 0.4% chance of exotic (rough ballpark numbers).
so not strictly “100 shards = 1 green”, but close

I felt shortchanged too. I’d be more ok with them saying;‘no further use for bladeshards, just toss them’

Hinting at s shard merchant in previous patchnotes raised a certain expectation. I would have been fine with festival tickets, or some mats for stuff we can still use.
