..being a cynical forecaster.
..being a doom-monger….and being a hopeless jinxer.
Why was this not an option?
Instead of a few people who have the sense of calling for organization only to have the zerglings ignore them and zerg off anyway.
Instead of being lucky and getting into a map that do pull off organized events, which are a harsh minority.
A lobbying system would have helped where during the blitz the areas are sealed off and the entrance is through an npc with a head count and maybe a limiter.
The crown pavilion actually has gates to each area, so with a little tweaking it could actually have worked. I think ANet just figured people would organise themselves into areas the same way as happened with Marionette. It would have been a much nicer solution than unnatural scaling which an inexplicable number of players seem to still be struggling with.
It Anet want us to split into party. Why not just force us to do it. When there are more than x number of people you can’t go in any more.
or at least gives a warning when people trying to enter the area. Saying there are more than needed.
Exactly what I’m saying. The way they just shoved to us the new mechanics is counterproductive when they could have innovated like the above idea, instead of the majority running around like headless zergling chickens.
Zerglings: “Hey guys where’s the zerg?”
Poor organizing enthusiast: “Guys we need to form into small groups !”
Zerglings: “lol wat aint nobody got time for that, oooo a tag, we’ll all head there”

Agree, as usual the events are messed up by overflows with not enough ppl.
I read a suggestion that mentioned a system like the Marionette.
I would not be against something like that, since a few mechanics are similar:
The unique mechanics for each boss.
Separate areas.
The adds.
A timer.
Scaling is seriously touchy. I can move out of the center lobby area heading out the door, and scale a boss for everyone below.
I used to last QP event to level some characters. Now the Labyrinthine Cliffs has events that reward players for participation consistently. The Queen’s Gauntlet requires only yourself and strategy. The Blitz, even with organization, is becoming an unrewarding way to spend your time.
I don’t think it should be easy, but it should be fun and not seem like I am wasting my (and everyone else’s) time when I come to help.
