As there is already an appropriate thread for the Crown Pavilion in specific and because I feel like the rest of the content is really praise worthy, I’ve decided to create this one.

Firstly, I have to say that returning to the Labyrinth Cliffs was an amazing sensation. The Bazaar was my favorite event by far and getting the opportunity to revisit it is great.
Despite the fact that the Labyrinth Cliffs were already beautifully designed,the new decoration was a nice touch, it’s pretty cool considering the symbolism of the Phoenix (which now has it’s on weapon skin line – they look cool, btw.) and the rebuilding of Lion’s Arch. (And because all the mentions to Cantha, even if little, will make us happy).

The new events are enjoyable too, I specially like the Baby Dolyak race, but then again I’m a sucker for Guild Rushes. It’s great to see it implemented outside of the Guild Missions.
Also, thanks for letting me find all the crystals again. Finding our own strategies and using the the aspects mechanic to catch’em all was one of the reasons why I feel in love with the Bazaar.

As for the Destiny Edge 2.0 (we really need a name for our gang), I just realized how much I missed them when I went to the story instance. The dialogues are great, being it in the instance or the flavor dialogues we get in the Bazaar/Pavilion. Also, I totally got your Madagascar’s Penguins reference (via Braham), it made me laugh out loud.

I have to disagree with the dialogue, it seems similar to Season 1 which was IMO subpar to horrid. Makes me dread things to come.

I do like the baby dolyak race, I do not like the model, but that’s personal preference for the normal yak model.

The blade shard vendor is a huge letdown. First was the “save your shards, you can get stuff for them” comment only for “a green or better” (meaning a green) after months.

I didn’t really care. Only thing I wanted was the recipes for the runes/sigils from the queen’s Jubilee release, and they couldn’t be bothered to even do that. Unless the Bazaar gives me another shot at those, it’s just as much of a waste as the Pavilion is now.

Also, blade shards for masterwork items or maybe better? Yeah…no. I’ll save them for more spinal packs, at least those are a guaranteed investment.

Yep, I do agree with this. They sounded so mysterious about this merchant and commented on how we could exchange them with “neat stuff” and yeah… I was expecting cool stuff. Then again I can always keep them and make more ascended back pieces, I guess.

I traded in over 9000 shards.

I got 1 rare, one exotic, and the rest green.

Huge disappointment seeing as these things took up a ton of room in my bank for a couple months.

The yak race i dont think is fun, the crystal hunt is a giant Meh.

All in all this event is a huge letdown for me. The only thing i can say about it that’s positive is at least it gives me a vector to get the scelerite karka shell, even if its a big unfun grind to get it.

Honestly, This Event sucks, i had high hopes for this and all the rewards except one and that is the title suck and the idea to remove vigil keep as a central hub until lions arch is truly fixed again was a really bad idea in many ways vigil keep was actually better then la and they came up with this amazing idea to slap everything into fort marriner inside la which i might mention has a giant hole in the ground and looks terrible not one of this games best moments especially with the release in china

Labyrinthine Cliffs was my favorite content last year, so I’m like a kid in a candy shop. While I can’t say the dolyak race or the crystal carry are a huge success, they’re OK – enough that I’ll do them when they’re up, if I’m not in the middle of something else.

While I agree that the rewards for shards are not exciting, they’re still more than we would otherwise get. I tossed hundreds of them out the window before ANet made that announcement. Know what I got for those? Absolutely nothing.

I regret only two things so far: The red flower backpack does not seem to be available, and, as last year, I wish the sky crystals would reset once you get the achievement so that you can do them multiple times while the zone is up.
